1 Simple Trait You Need To Gain Authority, Popularity And Respect On Social Media
The secret of the "most loved" content creator finally revealed
For the love of quality content, I hope this post reaches EVERY genuine content creator.
(You will start looking at content creation differently once you read this note)
If I were to ask you, what would you say is the biggest asset of any content creator worth their salt?
Think about this. Think about 5 content creators across genres who's work you appreciate.
What would you say is a common thread that binds all of these creators individually?
I'd suggest you share your thoughts in the comments before you read my POV.
I hope you've dropped your thoughts in the comments, and let me guess, your thought would have been on the lines of "honesty/ genuineness"
If that was your answer, you're absolutely right.
Content creators play a role of being an influencer, a role model, an entertainer, someone who we know will use their clout to promote something to us when they find an opportunity they deem fit.
The parasocial relationship that we share with our favourite creators today is rather deep and layered.
In such a scenario, if you were to turn the tables, it's easy to gauge what's the most common expectation your community is going to have from you.
Your followers/ subscribers will have an unsaid expectation from you to remain true to your content and your audience at all times.
Depending on how you look at it, this could be the easiest or the most difficult feat to achieve.
The easiest way to adapt this in your life is actually a lot easier than you think.
Create a group of people from your life that you care about (who also overlap with your target audience).
Now, depending on your niche, this could include your spouse, sibling, cousin, best friend, parent, etc.
For a safe measure, add 3 people who you respect the most.
Every time you create ANY piece of content, imagine running the idea through this cohort that you've created.
If you feel anybody from this group will not appreciate the content, drop the idea.
