Are 50 Painful Failures Enough Before You Actually Give Up on Destiny?
How many failures are too many failures in business?
This post will change your outlook on failures.
(And when implemented well, it holds the power to change your life)
How many failures would you say are “too many” failures in the world of business?
I want you to think of a number before you continue reading.
Done? I hope you have a number in your mind.
Comment and tell me what’s the number you’ve thought of, before you continue reading.
What was your answer?
<10?
>10?
>20?
How about 50 failures?
How would you react if I were to tell you that you MAY strike success after 50 failures?
Do you really think you have the courage to endure the said 50 failures?
Remember the game Angry Birds? Well, that game was developed by a studio called Rovio.
Rovio struck gold with Angry Birds after 51 failures. No exaggeration.
A simple search will reveal this number to you.
Imagine failing 51 times, learning from your mistakes, reiterating, developing a new game from ground up, and hoping that this attempt gets the traction from your target customer.
What's even worse? 51 is not a magic number. Maybe you will end up taking a lot more iterations before you taste success.
I really want you to introspect if you have the resilience like the team of Rovio?
Think about all the opportunities that you've probably lost because you gave up too soon on an idea that could have been as big as Angry Birds?
Share your thoughts in the comments. Let's interact, share ideas, learn from each other's perspectives and experiences.
If you can see your end goal with conviction, please don't give up until you achieve your goal.
Stay focused and stay perseverant. I can't wait to share your success story like this sometime in the near future. I'm rooting for you.
