Business Owner? Make Your Content Doesn't Fly on Social Media
The problem is not with the quality of your content. The problem is with the tonality!
Let’s address the elephant in the room.
Growing on social media is far more complicated than learning how to own + operate + run + grow a business.
Right?
WRONG!
Not knowing how to grow on social media is a far bigger challenge than actually putting the right amount of effort into growing on social media.
How do you bridge this gap?

Are you a business owner or a content creator?
First things first, let’s (try and) answer the most fundamental question.
Are you a content creator or are you a business owner?
If you answered either one of the two options, let me tell you, you’re wrong.
Today, a content creator can’t afford to not get into business sooner than later, so it's best you create a funnel for your business ASAP, and if you’re a business owner, can you really imagine a business that doesn’t grow without social media and digital marketing presence?
But let’s get real, it’s unacceptable to expect business owners to be a master at content creation. Right?
WRONG
If you’re a business owner, you need to learn every trick in the book that helps your business grow, and if you’re trying to look for exceptions/ loopholes/ shortcuts, you might as well find ways to wrap things sooner than later.
Can your business survive without creating content?
Sure, but only businesses that are planning to shut shop in 5 years or less.
You need to get clear on one thing.
Social media accounts of growing businesses don’t need to be as big (with regards to follower numbers) as content creators.
You need to educate your target customer and generate leads for your business through social media.
Followers/ subscribers are pennies.
The real dollars are in building communities, newsletter lists and getting more inquiries for your business using social media as a tool!
How to balance?
As a business owner, it’s best if you focus on finding/ building a solution to this situation rather than trying to expand the problem, so let’s look at simple, practical and easy to implement ways/ means/ methods to grow your brand’s presence on social media.
- Learn
First things first, for you to extract value from social media marketing, it’s inevitable you actually put in the effort to learn how these platforms work.
You also need to get clarity on:
- is your target audience active on the platform you’re evaluating?
- what can you do to create quality content that reaches your target audience,
-what kind of results can you expect, etc.
- Plan
On the basis of the clarity and understanding gained in the learning stage, you create a structured content plan for your business.
- Manage
Find a way to manage and create content… that you’re proud to post on social media
- Hire
If you can’t create the content, hire a team that can get the work done.
Hey, it’s business. You need to do what you need to do.
- Outsource
Don’t have the time, bandwidth, patience to hire and manage the team?
Don’t feel confident enough to helm the content marketing ship?
Find yourself a reliable freelancer/ agency who can deliver what your brand needs.
There are more than enough (talented) people looking for opportunities across the world.
This one-time effort may seem overwhelming, but once you find a solution to this situation, it will become a gift that will keep on giving.
Bottomline
Creating content is not a choice/ option.
It’s a necessity.
So, the sooner you get this sorted, the sooner your cash registers will start ringing.
A part of you knows your business has needed this for a few years now.
I don’t want you to regret not taking the right steps today and adding to the guilt and regret a few more months down the line.
Your Thoughts!
Do you agree/ disagree to this chain of thought?
