Whenever a city, state, or country has tried to invest heavily in infrastructure, it has faced pushback.
Always.
The very people who eventually benefit from new roads, metros, highways, rail lines, bullet trains, airports, or stadiums… are often the ones who resist them the most during development.
Look outside your window; you’ll see the urbanisation that makes your life easier today.
Now ask yourself this:
Could you live your life comfortably without these amenities?
Now Think Like a Business Owner
This same principle applies to business.
When you, as a business owner or entrepreneur, come up with a visionary idea, don’t expect your friends, community, or early audience to get it. Because they won't, and honestly… they shouldn't.
What you see is 10 steps ahead of what they can feel. It’s not their fault; they’re not wired like you. Your job isn’t to seek their permission. Your job is to build the next big thing.
Don’t Be Shocked by Resistance
Be shocked if you don’t get pushback. True vision challenges the status quo, and the average person defends the status quo.
So if your idea is being met with confusion, skepticism, or even silence, more often than not, you’re likely on the right path. You’re Not Building for Everyone
You’re building for:
The people who will thank you after it works
The lives your product will change
The future you’re shaping, even if no one sees it yet
Final Word?
Stop seeking feedback for wild ideas. Stop waiting for applause. Stop looking for signs. Start executing.
And soon, even those who doubted you will proudly say:
“I know them. I saw them start.”
