Everyone Laughed at His Idea. Now He Has 100+ Locations
When your idea makes sense to no one, you may be on to something
This is the 329th consecutive post on MrEmogical Notes. If you’ve been following this series and are finding value from this blog/ newsletter, please consider sharing this post with one person who you feel needs to read this for their betterment.
The idea of business
When everyone laughed… he kept building.
In a country where 40% of the population is vegetarian, there’s a coastal state loved by tourists, famous for its seafood, beach bars, and party scene.
And right in the heart of this place, someone dared to do the opposite.
He opened a pure vegetarian restaurant.
No non-veg. No alcohol.
People mocked the idea. Even locals laughed.
"Who would eat vegetarian food here?"
But he saw what others didn’t. A gap in the market that no one was addressing.
Everyone saw the now. He saw the future.
In a few weeks, footfalls started trickling in.
In a few months, the business was growing.
And over the course of a few years, it exploded.
From 1 location to over 30+ in the same state.
Over 100+ locations across the country.
All without giving in to what the market expected.
The Lesson?
Entrepreneurs aren’t in the business of validation.
- They are in the business of vision.
- They don’t always follow trends.
- They create them.
- They don’t ask: “Will people like this?”
- They think: “How long before people need this?”
When you see a gap in the market, and you're clear about your conviction, you don’t wait for permission. You go all in.
So here’s what you need to remember
If everyone’s doing the same thing, it’s easier to stand out by doing the opposite.
If your idea makes sense to everyone on Day 1, you’re probably too late.
If your vision solves a future customer problem, you’re already ahead.
Don’t look for support from people who can’t see your vision — they’re not supposed to.
The world needs courageous creators, not crowd-pleasers.
Food for thought
The restaurant’s name doesn’t matter.
Neither does the location.
What matters is the mindset.
That’s what built the brand.
That’s what made it unstoppable.
