You Can't Get Successful Until You Really Fall in Love With the Process & the Journey
This is the real reason why the hard work of so many people does not end up resulting in actual success.
This is the 165th consecutive post on MrEmogical Notes. If you’ve been following this series and are finding value from this blog/ newsletter, please consider sharing this post with one person who you feel needs to read this for their betterment.
Introduction
You have two options in life
01 - Grow your business/ career without feeling a sense of fulfillment, or
02 - Grow your business/ career with a deep sense of achievement, gratitude and humility.
Which option do you choose?
If you chose option 01, did you really read the options correctly?
If you chose option 02, continue reading.
Love for the process
Imagine this situation:
01 - Do you think a scientist loves the process of research that could last years (if not decades), with no guarantee of a structured outcome/ result at the end of the journey?
02 - Do you think an actor loves the process of practicing a dance sequence for a song, especially when dance is not one of their strengths?
03 - Do you think a (really successful) sportsperson loves the process of practicing their sport for hours at a stretch, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year? Do you think it’s easy to abstain from eating those calorie dense unhealthy (bit extremely tasty) food for most of their life, despite having access to endless resources?
A scientist has no assurance of success at the end of the road.
A dance sequence that took weeks of practice may not get the expected love from the audience.
A sports person's career is constantly at risk despite them playing on the field on the day of the match or on non-match days.
What do you think keeps them going?
If by any chance you’re one of those who’s addicted to motivational content on social media, let me assure you, motivational content is not the right answer.
One of the most important aspects of achieving formidable success in an area of domain that you’ve chosen for your life is absolute surrender to the process.
You have to reach a stage wherein you actually fall in love with every practice session, every bit of documentation that your journey to success demands.
This is only possible when you’ve had time with yourself, you’ve introspected and chosen a business/ career which is in absolute snc with your personal goals, moral values and your ethical/ moral compass.
It’s essential for your main source of income to have a very clear and strong connection with your life’s purpose for you to be able to fall in love with the process, stay dedicated to the journey not just for days/ weeks, but for years and decades.
Conclusion
Hope you’ve now understood the impact of love for the process in your journey of success.

Prompt used to create the image for the note
P.S.: Image made on Meta AI using the prompt, “Imagine someone working really hard beyond office hours in a dark office, with droopy eyes and low energy”
Reminds me of a quote that was written on our school timetable page: "Do your duty come what may, do it bravely day by day." Love is what gives you the strength to stay committed to your journey.
Experiencing this first hand for the first time in my life and very very grateful for this journey. Thank you for the reminder that this journey was worth it :)
