Every company is always optimizing for something. It could be cost-cutting, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, innovation, or operational efficiency.
And whatever they choose to prioritise today, will define what kind of company they become tomorrow.

If a company is doubling down on cost-cutting; they might reduce employee headcount, or they might streamline operations, maybe aggressively, or they might sacrifice quality if it leads to big savings, or they’ll negotiate harder with vendors and suppliers.
It might improve short-term profits, but what does it do to long-term innovation, customer experience, or employee morale?

What they’re choosing to cut or double down on tells you where their attention truly lies.
