This Is The Open Secret of Every Successful Business in The World
The only strategy that matters if you want to build a business that can keep scaling
Why are millions of people loyal to Starbucks for their coffee?
Does Starbucks serve the best coffee?
Why are millions of customers loyal to Levi’s?
Does Levi’s make the best denims?
Why are millions of customers loyal to McDonalds?
Does McDonalds make the best fast food?
We all know the answer to those questions is a strong and a vehement NO.
However, have you observed that these brands are doing business that run into millions (if not billions) and people keep lining up at these stores.
Why do people go to Starbucks, if they can get more aromatic beans, roasted to their preference, infused with flavour of their liking at a local cafe which is being run by a coffee connoisseur?
Why have people been buying Levi’s denims for decades when they have an option of thousands of brands below and over the price range of the brand with more variety/ options/ fits/ choices?
Don’t even get me started about McDonalds. We know their food is unhealthy, not good (read: fit) for human consumption in the long run, and yet a particular set of audience just can’t seem to get enough of McDonalds (of all other options in the market).
What is the secret?
Would you like to take a guess?
If millions of people are choosing to swipe their cards every day to give business to these brands that are not the best in the industry, what’s their secret sauce?
Well, the answer is a lot simpler than you’d presume.
Moreover, once you understand the answer, you will realize, this is the only strategy that is applicable to EVERY business in the world irrespective of their size, their industry, their target audience, etc.
The strategy is… “make a promise and deliver the promise.”
It’s that simple.
Starbucks never promised the best artisanal coffee, they promised standardized, reliable, quick coffee that does the job of giving you the caffeine fix that you’re looking for.
And they’re living up to that promise.
Levi’s promised a rugged pair of denims. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.
And they’re living up to that promise.
McDonalds promised economical food, that’s familiar in taste, convenient and readily available in most parts of the world.
And they’re living up to that promise.
See, I told you the answer is a lot simpler than you were assuming right?
But I hope you’re appreciating the genius of this strategy/ observation.
You need to stop complicating your thoughts about your business.
Find yourself a target audience, identify a problem they’re facing, promise a solution that’s satisfactory to their expectations, deliver it at a price that they’re happy to pay and repeat this over a million times.
That’s it.
Didn’t I tell you, once you read and decode this, it’s impossible to miss.
Look at any/ every business that’s even remotely successful.
They’ve figured out their positioning to the T.
What about you?
Do you have clarity for your business/ brand?
Is the positioning of your business cracked to the T?
If not, what’s stopping you?
Do you agree to this thought process?
