The 4 Most Important People in Life of an Entrepreneur/ Working Professional
Every person from this list plays a unique role in your life’s journey
This is the 190th consecutive post on MrEmogical Notes. If you’ve been following this series and are finding value from this blog/ newsletter, please consider sharing this post with one person who you feel needs to read this for their betterment.
Introduction
They say “Rome was not built in a day.” What they should also tell the world is that “Rome was not built in isolation by one person.”
To build your version of Rome, you will need a team for sure, but you will also need a group of four special people who will play a significant role in your journey.
Let’s introduce you to…
The Four Musketeers
Make sure you take notes and understand what characteristics and characters you need to start looking for, pronto.
01 - Your Inspiration
Humans work best when they set goals and milestones. One of the best ways to create goals and milestones for yourself is to find yourself someone who is so inspirational to you, that you would like to emulate their journey, or their method, or their process.
The journey to the pinnacle of your success will be an absolutely unique one, but for a very long part of that journey, having someone who inspires you and someone who you can look up to is a really helpful stepping stone.
02 - Your Mentor
I hope you’re not someone who believes they know everything and they don’t need help from someone else to grow in life. Technically, that can’t be you, because then, you wouldn’t be reading this note to begin with.
Whatever aspect of your life you’re feeling inadequate/ under confident in, I’d suggest you find yourself a coach/ mentor. You will save yourself a lot of time, effort, energy, and a lot more intangibles.
What you could gain from getting yourself a mentor? Long story short, the world is your oyster.
03 - Your Peer
You can’t grow only with someone who’s ahead of you (your inspiration) and with your coach by your side. You also need someone to blow some steam with/ around. Someone who’s walking neck to neck with you. Someone who understands your situation, feels your pain.
This person is your peer. Could be a team member, someone else who understands your industry, someone you met in one of the networking events, a mastermind, etc.
04 - Your Mentee
The first three people are the ones who keep you on your toes (in a good way). The fourth person is someone who inspires to get better, in a completely different way.
This is a person with whom you play the role of the mentor. Based on the journey you have been on, you find someone who you can mentor, help them in avoiding the roadblocks you have faced in your journey.
This helps you stay connected to their network, communicate better and become a much better leader over time.
Conclusion
I hope you will now appreciate the importance of having these four people in your life and will actively try to expand your network consciously until you find yourself someone who you’re inspired by, someone who you look up to as a mentor, someone who is your peer (even if they’re not a part of your team) and a mentee who you’re helping.
