The Brutal Truth About Entrepreneurship No One Tells You
Why most people aren’t built for the entrepreneurial journey
This is the 381st consecutive post on MrEmogical Notes. If you’ve been following this series and are finding value from this blog/ newsletter, please consider sharing this post with one person who you feel needs to read this for their betterment.
Introduction
You want entrepreneurship? That’s great, but let me tell you what else comes with it.
The Hidden Side of Entrepreneurship
It’s the uncertainty of not knowing when the next payment is coming in, or if it’s coming at all.
It’s the reality that you don’t clock out at 6 pm, because the business comes home with you.
It’s being misunderstood, even by the people closest to you.
It’s risking your own money and losing it, more times than you’ll care to admit.
It’s wearing every hat until you can finally afford to take one off.
The Pressure Never Stops
And when you finally hire people, the pressure doesn’t go away; it doubles.
Because now their paychecks depend on you showing up.
It’s waking up unmotivated and pushing through anyway.
It’s launches that flop.
Criticism from people who’ve never built anything in their lives.
It’s nights where you’re in tears, and mornings where you put on the game face.
It’s coaching yourself out of panic.
It’s trusting your effort will pay off, even when your fears scream louder.
Why Entrepreneurship Isn’t for Everyone
That’s why I tell my clients: entrepreneurship isn’t for everybody.
Some people are built for the stability of a paycheck. And that’s perfectly fine.
But if you’re built for this, if you can carry the weight, if you can keep going when others would quit... Then entrepreneurship will reward you in ways no paycheck ever could.
