Is Your Dream Life Really Meant for You?
We all dream, set goals, and imagine the perfect life we want to live.
But here’s a simple reality check that most people miss:
What if the life you're chasing... isn't the life you'd enjoy living?
Let’s talk about how to test that dream—before you spend 20 years building towards it.
The 5-Person Test
Want to know if your dream job, business, or lifestyle is truly meant for you?
Find at least 5 people already doing what you want to do 20 years from now.
Observe the following:
01 - Are they still passionate about their work?
02 - What’s the quality of their relationships?
03 - What kind of lifestyle do they live every day?
04 - Are they mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy?
05 - Most importantly, do they seem genuinely happy?
One Success Story Isn’t a Blueprint
Too many people make this mistake:
They idolize one or two ultra-successful names in their industry and assume that's what success looks like.
That’s not how real-life patterns work.
One or two people are not benchmarks.
They’re exceptions.
If you base your entire life’s direction on outliers, you may set yourself up for disappointment.
Look at the Full Picture
Here’s what you should be doing:
Take a bigger sample size—5, 10, or even more.
Look beyond financial success.
Focus on overall life satisfaction.
Notice how they deal with challenges, balance life, and evolve with time.
Your dream life should not only look good on paper.
It should feel fulfilling when you're living it.
Final Thought
Before you chase the dream, ask:
"Do the people living it seem happy, balanced, and fulfilled?"
If the answer is no, you’re not chasing your dream.
You’re chasing someone else’s highlight reel.
Build a life that’s not just impressive, but also deeply satisfying to live every day.
