How you make these decisions is dependent on your source of knowledge, understanding, your reach, the access to the way the systems work and many other factors which most people don’t have (easy) access to.
But then, if the access to these factors of success isn’t easy, how do successful people manage to crack the code?
The answer is relatively easier than you think.
One major factor behind the success of these people is their network.
Successful people tend to create connections, relationships, bonds and associations with people who are knowledgeable, sharp and insightful.
You will hardly see a successful person bothering to spend time with people who are not from their industry or areas of interest.
For example, an actor may not spend a lot of time with someone from the real estate industry unless they’re in the market to buy a property, or if they’re planning to partner with a real estate business or if they happen to be friends with a real estate developer for a really long time.
The situation would be similar with a real estate developer. They would rather associate with other people from their industry, architects, bankers, lawyers, etc.
The idea is simple. People you rub shoulders with determine your access to knowledge, information, deeper understanding about their life, their thought process, the industry they come from, tricks of the trade in those industries, insights and a lot more.
Now, look at your network. Are you associating with the right people?
Be mindful of the conversations, the attitude towards life, and the thought process about the future of the people you’re spending your maximum time with.
Your future is a reflection of your mindset, your ambitions, your thought process, your conversations, and the kind of people you’re spending a maximum amount of time with, today.
