The Strange Daily Practice That Leads to Viral Ideas & Money
Unlock your brain’s hidden creative power
This is the 383rd consecutive post on MrEmogical Notes. If you’ve been following this series and are finding value from this blog/ newsletter, please consider sharing this post with one person who you feel needs to read this for their betterment.
Introduction
If you can do this exercise once a day, every single day, for just two minutes, it has the power to completely change your life and even your bank balance. Sounds bold, but hear me out.
This has nothing to do with hustling harder, working longer hours, or chasing opportunities nonstop.
It has everything to do with activating your parasympathetic nervous system.
Saturday morning vs. Monday morning
Think about this.
Have you ever noticed the difference between how you feel on a Saturday morning versus a Monday morning while doing the same activity, like driving?
- On Saturday morning, you feel light, happy, and relaxed.
- On Monday morning, you feel anxious, tense, and maybe even afraid.
The only difference?
Your body is activating two different nervous systems.
That Saturday feeling of calm, joy, and presence is your parasympathetic nervous system at work.
Why this matters
When your parasympathetic nervous system is activated, your brain processes the same actions differently. Instead of stress, you experience:
- Relaxation
- Presence
- Creative flow
This is also when your brain starts producing some of its most creative ideas, because you’re not stuck in survival mode.
The 2-minute exercise
Here’s the simple practice:
01 - Sit quietly for two minutes (longer is even better).
02 - Pay attention to exactly what you’re doing in the moment. Example: Notice how your coffee cup feels in your hand. Every time your mind wanders, gently bring it back.
03 - Repeat this daily.
It may sound like meditation, and technically, it is. But it’s not about sitting cross-legged for an hour. It’s about short bursts of intentional silence.
Why this works
When you practice this daily:
- Your stress lowers.
- Your focus sharpens.
- Your creativity skyrockets.
Some of the best ideas I’ve had came during these quiet moments. This state allows your brain to connect dots it normally misses when you’re constantly distracted.
A little extra
If you want to take this further, try alternate nostril breathing or other quick mindfulness techniques during the day.
Especially when you’re overwhelmed, they instantly reset your nervous system and put you back into flow.
Food for thought
It only takes two minutes a day to step into a state where ideas, clarity, and opportunities flow to you.
Do this consistently, and you’ll be shocked at how quickly your creativity compounds into business results.
Sometimes the smallest habits bring the biggest wins. And this one could very well be your millionaire habit.
