Introduction

I was talking to a group of friends who are studying in college and the conversation that I had with them really disturbed me at some level.

I was excited to talk to them at the start because all of them told me that they wanted to venture into entrepreneurship once they graduate.

However, when I enquired further and asked them their biggest motivation to want to become a business owner, their answer disappointed me.

All of them wanted to pursue business for all the wrong reasons. Their replies were on the lines of, “wanting to make a lot of money”, or “wanting to get so popular that they were being interviewed on podcasts”, etc.

I’m writing this note for every such individual who wants to pursue starting a business in the future and I want them to understand that aligning their expectations with the right reason is the true mark of a successful business owner.

Let’s double click on this idea.

Make your customer’s transformation your passion

Look at all the successful business owners that you can think of.

You’d find a common link among all of these personalities.

They’re living a life that’s dedicated to their purpose.

Sounds cliché, right?

But now I insist that you look deeper.

Try to analyse the passion of all of these people that you can think of and you will find yet another similarity.

The passion that drives all these mavericks is actually benefiting/ improving the lives of other people.

Yes. Successful people don’t become successful by thinking about their personal welfare.

They become successful because all of their energy, focus, dedication and effort is channelised towards improving the life of their target audience.

That’s the only way to unlock unlimited abundance in your life.

Do something that impacts the lives of millions (if not billions) of people and in return, be rewarded with name, fame, success and a lot more.

You don’t need to live a life where you’re chasing success.

Live a life of true and unadulterated service and success will follow as a natural byproduct.
