Want To Save Yourself from Mammoth Emotional Pain? You Need This 1 Thing
It’s simple. You just need to choose between 2 options
Happiness is a choice.
(Technically, it's a byproduct of the choices you make)
Depending on your personality, the best (or the worst) thing about life, is that life comes with innumerous choices.
Your happiness, success, peace of mind, personal growth.... Long story short, your life depends on what choices you make.
This one post is going to make life a little easier for you.
It's going to help you decode one typical life situation (and going to save you from a lot of emotional pain).
More often than not, life choices can essentially be grouped into a choice between 2 options.
Option 01: Can I change myself and accept the world?
OR
Option 02: Can I change the world, and accept myself to remain as is?
Your life, mental health, quality of your relationships.... Long story short, every aspect of your life will improve multiple times, should you accept option 01 to be the ultimate reality.
You cannot change anybody, anything, any situation entirely, without having to deal with unknown repercussions.
Yes, you can invest a lot of time, effort, resources, energy and mental bandwidth to bring about a change, but more often than not, it's a bad bargain.
On the other hand, you can always work towards adapting, understanding and finding ways to learn to change yourself to fit into any situation.
While this may feel unfair, a bad bargain, living a supressed life to sceptics, in the long run, this is the only option that will allow you to sail through life with minimal to no regrets or pain.
Call it being practical, spiritual. I choose to look at this as the best hack/ cheat code to save my mental health.
Also, because you didn't give up on me and are still reading, let me tell you when/ where to stop.
When you know you're the only person changing every time, that's your sign to reevaluate the situation/ equation.
More often than not, when you quit/ walk out from situations like these (after reevaluating), you will only feel more empowered and emotionally strong and never regret your decision.
