One Reason That Proves Clarity Is Your Most Important Advantage
Life is always giving you two choices and knowledge of both your options could be the game changer you didn’t know you needed
Your Two Options
What if I tell you, this post could be the solution to all of your problems.
I know it’s an unreasonably large claim to make, but I truly believe that there is going to be at least one person whose life would change forever by reading this post.
Call me biased, but I’m just hoping that the one person who gets the benefit of this post is you.
The information that you will read below is not new/ unique in any way.
However, you just need to understand that it's the perspective that holds the power to change the direction of your life.
If you adapt to the decision-making process as suggested in this post, there is no way that your life wouldn’t take a 180° shift for good.
The only thought process you need to understand before you start moving forward is that in life every decision, every episode, every situation holds the capacity to change your life and the tipping point of that change is, who makes the decisions.
Confused? Continue reading to know more.

Option 01: The World Decides
Imagine a guy named Danny. Danny was born to an extremely caring set of parents.
Trouble is that Danny’s parents were too caring. Caring to a fault, in fact.
They cushioned Danny at every step of the way.
What food, what clothes, what sort of media is good for Danny was decided by his parents.
What do you think was Danny’s state of mind by the time he reached the age of an adult (and generally mature) human?
Danny is one of the most indecisive people I’ve met. The man can’t decide what to order in a restaurant that serves just 4 kinds of pizzas for heaven's sake.
He is perpetually confused, overthinking, worried to make a mistake and seeking help from people around him to come to a decision.
Is It Worth It?
It’s not my place to decide/ comment if living a life like Danny is worth recommending to people at large.
If someone were to push me up the wall and force me for an answer, at best I’d say I don’t condone this way of life at large.
Danny is what I call a classic victim. He is easily demotivated, gets anxious around situations that look like opportunity to me and Danny has started at least 5 projects (big and small) in 2024 which ended within weeks, if not days.
So, is this worth it?
Before you answer, let’s look at the other side of the story, shall we?
Option 02: You Decide
Meet Daisy.
Call me biased, but just reading this name brings a smile to my face.
But that’s just the start. You meet Daisy and you’d feel a plethora of emotions ranging from inspiration, excitement, energised and a lot more.
What’s so special about Daisy?
Daisy is a young lady who owns a social media marketing agency, has worked with some of the best restaurants in Asia, she has been financially independent for the last couple of years, and by the way… Did I tell you; Daisy is just 28.
What’s her secret?
I haven’t met anybody like Daisy in my life.
I asked Daisy if she were given just 1 minute to share the secret of her success, confidence, achievements, what would she share with the world?
Her answer came out in a moment.
She said, “my dad gave me a rule for life and it’s so powerful, I really have lived my life by that rule. The rule is… OWN EVERY DECISION.”
She explained to me; these 3 words can be interpreted in 2 ways.
01. Own the space with so much confidence that you end up owning every decision in your life (which means nobody can ever pressurise you and make decisions on your behalf), and
02. Come what may, if something affects you (positively/ negatively), it’s your responsibility.
Your team member goofed up? That’s on you. Maybe you chose the wrong candidate or the processes in your company are not watertight.
Relationship fell apart? That’s on you. Maybe you chose the wrong partner or missed the challenges/ problems/ red flags while you were in the relationship.
Made a loss in a particular business transaction? That’s on you. Maybe you miscalculated the quotation or dropped the ball during execution.
You get the drift, I hope.
The Impact
What do you think would be the impact of a mindset like this?
Let me tell you, Daisy is no “superhero”. I’ve seen her get vulnerable, fail, make decisions that can be politely called as blunders, but the one thing that sets Daisy apart is the time taken to bounce back.
Her relationship of 7 years fell apart, and within 7 hours she had wiped her tears and was back to her life.
She didn’t brush the situation under the carpet.
She went to therapy, did a lot of introspection, worked on herself, identified the gaps and within 10 months, she became a “new and improved” version of herself.
Almost like, the operating system of her brain got a hard reset.
I’ve asked her what kept her going on multiple occasions and the answer is the same, all the time.
I made a mistake and only I can rectify it for myself (with external help as and when needed) and take the responsibility for what happened.
The Conclusion
Now is the right time to ask you which option (of life) would you rather choose?
I told you right at the start, the purpose of this post is not to share information that’s absolutely unique or exclusive.
It’s just that when you get exposure to the right knowledge, in the right language, with the right examples, and the right perspective… Sometimes the same information presented in a distinctive way… Hits Different.
