The Easiest Way Immediately Know If an Entrepreneur Could Fail in The Future
Beware of this question if a new/ budding entrepreneur approaches you
It's easier than ever to become a business owner today.
(But that doesn't mean everyone must become an entrepreneur)
If you really want to start a business today, you can begin in just a couple of hours.
Starting a new account on social media, getting yourself a domain, creating content, and you can start getting leads/ enquiries.
In principle, it's that easy.
However, just because it's this easy to become a business owner, people tend to take the entire process of business creation very lightly.
One of the common questions I see getting asked online/ on subreddits/ on social media/ to mentors in public forums is, "I'm really interested to start a business. Could you tell me what area/ industry I should start a business in?"
This is a big, bright red flag on fire.
An entrepreneur doesn't need to ask anybody about what business they should start.
They need to be intuitive enough to find a pain point in the life of their target customer and they must know how to solve this problem for them.
They should also have the proactiveness to develop a working model, a semi baked minimum viable product before they approach the market.
The questions that a serious businessowner would ask a mentor would be on the lines of, "This is the business/ industry I am in. This is the problem I'm facing; this is the approach that I've tried, this is where I'm stuck. Could you please suggest a new/ different approach that you believe would work for me/ my business?"
Every moment/ opportunity you get to connect with someone who's an achiever in your industry is a blessing.
If someone is wasting this opportunity trying to look for business ideas, that's just a sign that this person doesn't have what it takes to start a serious business.
Look at the problems you're facing in your life and find a solution/ craft a solution that's better than the alternatives available in the market, and for all you know, that's your billion-dollar idea in the making.
