This Mistake Costs a Fortune That You Must Stop Right Now
Optimize your life to save on two most important intangible assets: time and energy
Time and Energy: The two most important intangible assets that we tend to take for granted
(The cost of this ignorance is far worse than you think)
I need you to look at this note as a reminder for the rest of your life.
I hope you'd agree that the easiest way to measure progress is to keep a tab of all the achievements made by someone. Right?
Hence, one way to decode that thought process is that if you want to keep progressing, you need to keep achieving new things as often as you can.
Now, to achieve new things, you need to fulfil new projects.
Treat as every project as a challenge that life is bringing to you.
To overcome any challenge, in principle you have only 2 options.
Option 01: Do it Yourself (includes learning a new skill), and
Option 02: Hire/ Learn from an expert.
Which option do you think is the most practical and fruitful?
Let me know in the comments below, before you continue reading.
Very often, the reply that I get to this question is Option 02.
If you also thought of option 02, congratulations, that is the right answer.
However, unfortunately, when it comes to practice, people tend to select Option 01, more often than not.
I fail to understand why are engineers, doctors, people working in hospitality, aviation industry trying to DIY their finances on basis of YouTube videos.
It's beyond me to see people who think they will decode physical fitness only by consuming hours' worth of podcast content.
A couple who's struggling within their marriage is trying to resolve their issue by... "reading books".
We are so fortunate to live in the world of access to the best coaches/ consultants/ therapists in the world today.
If you're facing any challenge, please don't try to DIY the solution.
You think you will save your money, but DIY demands a lot of time and energy.
Even worse, DIY is not a plan, it's a wish, a hope at best.
Who knows you may end up saving some money, but you may end up losing out on a lot of time, energy and the relationship/ money that you were trying to save through your DIY experiment.
Every time life brings you a challenge, it's bringing you an opportunity to grow.
Find yourself a coach/ mentor/ expert who will help you solve the situation in a structured and systematic manner.

I would choose option 02
