The Truth About Life: You Live Everything Twice
Everything that’s happening in your life is actually the second version. What was the first version, you wonder? Read to know more!
Let’s start today’s post with a simple question.
Do you control your life, or is your life controlling you/ your life decisions?
Think about this.
Contemplate for a few moments, before you continue reading.
Chances are that the first answer that popped in your head is the right answer.
Most people today are leading a life where the situations, circumstances, and other people are playing a major role (read: controlling) how they’re living their life.
If you seem to be falling in the same category, continue reading till the end of this post, because who knows, this post could change the direction of your life, your decisions for good.
Status quo
People who are in control of their life live a life that can be labelled “a life well lived”.
But how do you determine what exactly does “a life well lived” look/ feel like?
We don’t have a benchmark.
We don’t have examples that can lead us or someone we can fall back upon.
The easiest (read: the only) way to get a glimpse into someone’s life today seems to follow them on social media, and on social media, people don’t share their “true life”.
On social media, we see an edited, carefully selected, a very well curated, and an extremely rose-tinted version of someone’s life.
We all know of at least a few people who we know are completely broken on the inside, they’re dealing with major life challenges, career crisis, their relationships are a hogwash, but their social media feed seems like a fairytale, to say the least.
So, if you really want to unlock the correct version of “a life well lived” for yourself, it’s important to create the right understanding and set the right benchmarks which are true for yourself, your situations, your life, your relationships and your wellbeing.
How do you measure a life well lived?
The answer to this question is actually very simple.
A life well lived is a life lived as per your purpose.
A life where you balance your health (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual), important relationships, and your mission (commonly referred to as career/ business).
Now, depending on your mindset, your current state of life, just reading that last statement must have made you feel overwhelmed, nervous, uneasy and maybe even nauseous.
That’s because you’re clearly living your life by default, and not by design
Life by design or life by default?
I got you wondering what’s “life by default, and not by design”.
See, I get you. I knew you’d need me to double click on this point, so here goes.
Life by default is when you’re reacting to life, life’s situations, life’s twists and turns as they come your way.
You’re not even bothering to see if there’s another way of life.
Maybe you have bothered in the past, but it didn’t work.
And hence, now… Just the sound of trying to balance health, important relationships, and your mission sounds overwhelming, if not impossible.
However, if you’ve reached this place in this note, let me tell you, the spirit to live life by design is still strong, active and a lot easier to achieve for you, than you think.
You can live your life by design when you make up your mind to live life by your rules.
Because only you know what an ideal mission, an ideal relationship and an ideal healthy mind/ body looks like for you. Correct?
Want to live your life by design?
The absolute first step is to attain absolute clarity on what you desire to achieve in your life, on all three grounds.
Can you unlock anything you desire?
Now I know what you must be thinking (read: overthinking).
Your mind has already started playing tricks with you and you’re asking, “Manish, can I unlock anything that I desire?”
The answer is an absolute YES.
The only terms and conditions are:
1. Do you know for sure that you deserve what you’re desiring? And
2. Are you ready to work for it?
These are the only two things that you have to work on with 100% sincerity and conviction.
Once you have worked on these two points for yourself, you will see how things start falling in place for you.
You will literally start manifesting your life by design in front of your eyes.
Does manifestation work on autopilot?
Now, this is a tricky question that I face a little more often than I’d like.
I really want to have a long conversation with the first person who spread this baseless rumour about manifestation, and I really dislike the fact that this statement has become so popular.
Just by getting absolute clarity on what you’re desiring, by believing in the fact that you deserve what you wish and desire, and by working in the right direction, you will not manifest anything.
Manifestation is not magic.
Manifestation is a process.
Manifestation is a method.
Manifestation is a system.
Subtle plug: Seriously, if you want to know more about manifestation (in much better detail), make sure you join The ProfitClan and attend The PROFIT Masterclass the next time, but for now let’s get back to the note.
Look at manifestation as a vehicle/ mode of transport to help you reach your destination.
With clarity of your destination, belief that you’re capable and worthy of achieving/ arriving at the desired destination, and by agreeing to work on fulfilling the desire, you’re just bracing yourself to start working in the right direction.
Manifestation as a process acts like a proverbial cycle, car, sports car, flight, ship that allows you to cover your distance faster.
So, living a life by design allows you to achieve a balanced life quicker, because manifestation is the process that converts your desire into a systematic process and helps you achieve your goals with a lot more confidence and speed.
Manifestation in 2 steps
Manifestation as a process works in 2 simple steps.
For you to manifest anything:
1. You first need to see yourself crossing the metaphorical finishing line in your subconscious mind.
You need to see, believe and feel that you have already achieved your desire.
You have to reach a place in your mind, where you can see the path that you took, the milestones that you crossed and now, you’re standing at the pedestal after having crossed the finishing line, and then
2. Work and convert that desire into a manifested reality
Now that you have seen what your journey looks like, you need to work and walk in the direction that will help you cross those milestones and achieve your desires.
