Short form content has had its day in the sun for a little too long.
If you’re someone who’s connected to the world of content creation, you’d have observed whispers and murmurs that short of content seems to be in its last leg of the race.
It’s not going to fade out of the scene, but there is a new kid in the block, that short form content creators are starting to fear.
Well, technically it’s not a new kid. It’s actually the senior who’s been around in the scene a lot longer since the short form content wave even started.
I’m talking about the return of the long form content.
Look around and observe if you’re seeing a change in the pattern of content consumption.
More and more people are consuming podcast content.
Long form, deep dive videos are making a comeback.
Gone are the days when people were going online just to kill time.
Today education, skill upgrade, research, discovering new information is happening on video, through long form content.
However, there’s one thing that needs to be clarified for sure.
Although more and more viewers are consuming long form content, the patterns and demands of audience’s have shifted for sure.
People now demand content that’s educational, transformative, and yet entertaining.
How do you do that?
By mastering a very important skill.
The skill of scripting your videos.
Want to make sure your video reaches a bigger audience? Focus on your script.
Want longer average view durations on your videos? Refine that script.
Want to get more leads/ gain new subscribers? The secret is in your script.
I’ve been through multiple training programs, only to learn every trick in the book to write better scripts.
I’m not the most popular YouTuber by a stretch, but just by adapting simple changes to my script I’m seeing a definite shift in the average view duration, number of leads to my newsletters and the growth in my subscriber numbers.
